In response to the closure of Mitsubishi’s Tonsley Park manufacturing plant, the State Government has established the Small Business Development Grant (SBDG).
This competitive, merit-based grant is available on a dollar for dollar matching basis.
Its key aims are to:
- target established, small and medium sized manufacturing and services (ICT, technical, educational and scientific) companies with a sound, clearly identified investment opportunity.
- enhance economic growth, employment and business development in Southern Adelaide.
Applications will be accepted if the project involves a minimum capital expenditure of $200,000 and new job creation in the Southern Adelaide region. Projects with a bias toward innovation and the introduction of new technology will be given priority.
